New Month. New Changes.

What? More changes again? As I hinted in a couple past postings today marks my 1st day in a new role at FGP Technology.

I’m now doing Sales for our team. Woohoo! We are at the point in our growth where we needed an additional person to help Rob (our Sr. Sales Consultant) with the Upstate market. I was approached and gladly accepted the offer to help out in this position. It’s a change from the recruiting side in a few ways - compensation plan is very different, but still very good and exciting; I’m doing more marketing and client visits; I’m no longer actively recruiting candidates (although I’m still working on the few open positions that I have); and I get to focus more on the Upstate market (Greenville/Spartanburg/Anderson/Greenwood, etc.)

Overall I’m excited about the opportunities with this position. Was I a failure at Recruiting? I don’t think so, even though I haven’t had a solid placement yet I’ve been able to source a number of very talented individuals and go through some phone interviews/screens, and do writeups, reference checks, etc. I still have a potential of placing a few candidates but we’ll see what happens.

(oops, forgot to post this! hehe)

So that’s what’s going on in my world as an IT Recruiter now Sales Consultant. More to come!
