Headhunter Diaries ~ Third Week Down. I’m A Pro Now (Ha!)
Hey all!
Well, just wrapped up my 3rd week today. Left a little early due to it being Good Friday and most of our clients are closed anyways (hey, I’m not complaining. I get to catch up on work at home for a few hours before our service tonight.) This past week was a good week for me. Made a lot of contacts, did a good bit of marketing, left a lot of voicemails and sent a good number of emails too.
Marketing is definitely the part where I’m really going to have to learn but also the part where it’s probably the hardest to do.
A good challenge I think and one I’m looking forward to conquering!
The team I’m with is excellent. Lots of good natured joking (especially with the NCAA tourny going on) and even advice and tips from the other folk who have been doing this a lot longer than I have. Coming into an office where everyone gets along and where people are willing to help makes a huge difference. I enjoy coming in and working with them.
My boss rocks too (heh, I just noticed that my bio is up. No pic yet. I imagine that will come soon enough…). She got me this slick headset so that my ear doesn’t get numb when I’m yacking on the phone all day. It works like a charm and I can even use it 200 feet when I’m at the drinking fountain down the hall.
I’m currently working on 3 searches and have a few good candidates lined up. It’s pretty exciting to find a good candidate and present them to the client that’s we’re working for. I’ll keep you updated as I hope to get my first placement here by the end of the month! (fingers crossed! hehe)

love the headset. . .very slick.
looking forward to seeing an updated pic on the bio page.
follow-up remark: goatee yet?
goatee? nah. I try one every couple months or so but get rid of it after a while. Makes me look too old.
